Visiting this website
This website is served by Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). To deliver the pages and to protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the time of the request, the page you request and your browser's user agent. The basis is our legitimate interest in a secure website that works (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Its fonts come from our own domain, so your browser sends no requests to font providers.

If you choose a language or a colour theme, your browser stores that choice in its local storage. The choice stays on your device and is never sent to us. We store it only because you asked for it (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it in your browser settings at any time.
Contact by email
If you write to us by email, we process your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message to answer you. If the message leads to a contract, the basis is preparing that contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). In all other cases it is our legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our email is hosted by Google Cloud EMEA Limited (Dublin, Ireland) as part of Google Workspace, which processes it on our behalf. We delete messages once the matter is settled, unless a legal duty requires us to keep them.

When you pay, Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Dublin, Ireland) collects your name, email address, billing address, payment method details and the transaction data. We receive from Stripe your name, email address, billing address, the card brand, the last four digits of the card and the transaction record. We never see your full card number.
Legal basis for payments
We process this data to perform the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to meet our bookkeeping and tax duties (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Stripe's role
Stripe processes this data on our behalf and also under its own responsibility, for example for fraud prevention and its own legal duties. Stripe's privacy policy explains that.

We keep invoices and the related payment records for ten years, as German tax and commercial law requires. We delete other payment data when your subscription ends and no legal duty requires us to keep it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can complain to a data protection authority. For us that is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
